The Macbook Pro is about a thousand dollars more thand what I would spend for the Macbook.
Does the extra graphics card on the Macbook Pro make a big difference? As for speed, can't I just buy a Macbook then pay extra to upgrade it?
Then again, why not just fork out a few hundred dollars extra to get a better machine?
I don't want any "techy" answers that go too much into specs and theory. I want real experiences from people who have had experience with both.
This is what I need my laptop for:
- On an average day, I check e-mail, blog, do minor photo editing, and have itunes, iphoto, preview and 2 web browsers on.
- Graphic work. Layouts, photo editing, and digital drawing and painting with a tablet. I do not do any online gaming and I will not be editing any videos, and if I do, it will be once in a blue moon. I use Adobe Creative Suite, and will probably get myself a copy of Paint as well.
- Since I am a student, I may need to carry around my work from now on. I find the 15" screen of the Macbook Pro too big, then again I have had a 15" Powerbook the past 5 years or so. I find it heavy but, hey, it's doable.
Ideally I would want a small, light computer I can hook up to a big monitor when I need to work at home. But I can live with with a 15".
So... Macbook versus Macbook Pro?
